What Can You Do?

Thank you for supporting the Green Clean Schools Act! The bill sailed through the House and the Senate, making Illinois the second state in the nation to require green cleaning in schools.

Add your voice to the Green Clean Schools campaign. Here's how to get involved:

1) Thank your legislators. Tell them how much you appreciate their vote to set standards for green cleaning in schools. (Click here to find out how your legislator voted on this bill.) Whether you call, write a letter or send an email, each contact you make reinforces the message that this issue is important and worthy of the legislator's ongoing support.

To find your state legislators, go to the Illinois State Board of Elections website. There, you can search for your state representatives and state senator by district, by official and by address.

2) Share your green clean story with us. If you have a story about a school in Illinois that has already switched to a green clean program, please consider sharing it. It's helpful for for legislators to know what is already going on in schools across Illinois.
