Green Clean Schools National Summit

In 2006, the state of New York passed a law requiring green cleaning in schools. In 2007, Illinois passed a similar law. Healthy Schools Campaign and advocates from around the country gathered for a special Green Clean Schools National Summit on Nov. 12, building on this momentum to bring health-promoting green cleaning laws to every state in the nation. . .

Several highly-publicized recent outbreaks of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in schools have ignited a rush for systems and products that will protect children from this "superbug" infection. It’s a scenario that is repeated thousands of times every day in schools across the country: germs are transferred from one student to another when they touch a common surface such as a door handle, desktop or the hand towel dispenser in the washroom.
