HSC welcomes interns with a variety of interests and skills. Specific projects vary according to the organization’s needs and priorities. We also consider the intern’s academic and professional goals. Internships are regularly available in the following areas:
In addition to specific projects, interns contribute to Healthy Schools Campaign’s overall work. Interns and supervisors will work together to determine an appropriate schedule and internship length. Generally, interns commit to working between 16-40 hours per week for two months to one year.
Benefits
Although HSC internships are unpaid, travel costs are reimbursed and students can earn academic credit for their experience. Through their work at HSC, interns become connected to HSC’s network of school health leaders and advocates. HSC supervisors also love to write recommendations and serve as references for great interns as they enter their careers.
