Speaking Engagements
Green Clean Schools is Healthy Schools Campaign's national partnership to promote green cleaning in schools. The initiative brings together the cleaning industry, educational leaders, parents and advocates to support schools in adopting environmentally friendly policies, practices and products.
Healthy Schools Campaign (HSC) engages school decision makers at the national, state and local levels through distribution of The Quick and Easy Guide to Green Cleaning in Schools, the GreenCleanSchools.org website, the Green Clean Schools National Summit and ongoing outreach activities.
Green Clean Schools grew out of HSC's work to introduce green cleaning in the Chicago Public Schools (CPS). HSC helped design and implement a pilot program in 10 Chicago public schools as part of a larger effort to explore green cleaning within CPS. As a result of the pilot, in 2005 CPS adopted a district-wide green cleaning policy.
Since beginning with lessons learned from this local experience, Green Clean Schools has grown into a vibrant national partnership that engages educational organizations, children’s health advocates and cleaning industry leaders.
